Lessons & educational counselling

Shadow

Lessons are given by Magali Morin, Andrée-Anne Minier or Mylène Major (see “Our Team”), in English or French. They are one hour long, either private or in small groups not exceeding 4 students. Lessons are given from Tuesday to Sunday, either during the day or in the evenings.  For students not having their own horse, a dozen school horses or ponies are available for various levels of riders.

Whether for confirmed riders wanting to perform at a competitive level, riders wishing to increase their knowledge with respect to horse behaviour or simply a student wanting to learn to participate in our wonderful sport, the main qualities required are motivation, effort and respect for the animal as a partner.  Riding is a team sport consisting of the rider, the mount and the trainer.

All students benefit from educational counselling through individual meetings, as needed. To obtain the best results, the trainer must be aware of her student’s state of mind and adapt her teaching methods to correspond with the psychological strengths and weaknesses of the latter; only then can the information be effectively received and interpreted. It is essential for the trainer to be familiar with the cognitive processes and emotional reactions of each rider in order to be able to set up an effective training program.
